Do not send the current or temporary password through an email.  The correct step to send a reset password link is to send it to the registered email address only. Furthermore, make sure that the reset password email sends as fast as possible because users might get disturbed when they will have to wait to login. The reason is that the forgotten password email takes too long to arrive. If users can't access their email, then the full options in this situation will only depend on your kind of service.
